A lock-on button, located on the bottom of the handle, allows you to run the tool at maximum RPM without holding the trigger. A reversing switch button located above the trigger switch lets you reverse the rotation of the bit. A switch on top lets you set the tool to function as either a traditional drill or a hammer drill with a hammering action. By using the depth gauge on the front of the tool, you can pre-set or repeat your drilling depth. Side-Assist Handle for Greater Control Included with the Skil 6445-01 1/2-inch hammer drill is a detachable side-assist handle that provides additional control and accuracy while you're drilling.
