Some building codes require full-head nails. This Hitachi framing nailer supports full, round-head, coil-wire-collation nails from 2 to 3-1/4 inches. It's a well-balanced tool that feels good in the hand, and it weighs only 8 pounds, so user fatigue is less than it is with other heavier framing nailers. The handle is slim and ergonomic, and the rubber grip is a nice touch that enhances the tool's comfort level. The Hitachi has one of the more aggressive tips of any nailer, which means the tip features prominent spikes to grip material for toe-nailing.
