Heat Trak Control Unit No More Slipping on Snow or Ice Every HeatTrak(R) residential system requires a control unit to allow power to flow to the mats. The HeatTrak(R) Control Unit has a built-in ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) and plugs into any standard 120V outlet. The Control Unit connects to either the Residential Heated Outdoor Stair Mats or Residential Heated Outdoor Walkway Mat via a patented watertight connector mechanism to make connecting safe and easy. The Control Unit comes with 6 foot of cord. A single control unit can power up to 5 Walkway Mats, 15 Stair Mats, or a combination thereof (up to 15 amps). Remember: If you don't order a control unit, your mats won't work! Hint: If you are ordering Heated Mats for more than one location (ie - front of the house and back of the house) you must order a control unit for each location.
