The Delta Shopmaster SS350LS Deluxe Variable Speed Scroll Saw is an excellent choice for the any woodworker or shop with occasional scrollwork cut needs. With it's smooth operating 2 amp motor, weighty cast iron base and solid stand, you will feel very little vibration. This saw will provide hours of pleasurable operation and clean quality cuts. The stand legs attach quickly, and put the saw at a comfortable sit-down height and make it easy to maneuver. Motor speed and blade is controlled by an infinitely adjustable speed dial control (600-1650 SPM), giving you flexibility to cut wood, metal, and plastics. Its 16-inch throat depth and tear drop shape, 11-¾-inch diameter forward portion, make it ideal for working with large pieces up to 16 inches wide. There is also a 0 to 45 degree left tilt for bevel cuts. Unique to Delta is a patented blade changing system, QuickSett II® Chuck, which uses tool-free, quick-release levers to loosen and reclamp the upper and lower blade holds. This will come in handy when you are doing a lot of inside cuts. It also comes with a fingertip blade tensioning control which with its ease to adjust help you maximizes blade life. It uses 5-inch, plain-end type blades, allowing for greater flexibility and versatility with a range of materials. Dust is controlled by an articulated, flexible dust blower which allows you to position it to where you need it for a clear line of sight on your wood piece and a large dust cup below the table collects the dust as you cut. We also like the hold-down foot on this saw. It's easy to adjust for flat or beveled work. The stock holddown is quick and easy to set up and holds materials up to 2 inches in thickness at 90 degrees or 1 inch at 45 degrees.
