It features a large, 19-square-inch hook-and-loop platen for fast stock removal. The platen is tapered for sanding in corners and tight spaces, and has a detachable detail finger designed for small surface applications. The overmolded, contoured grip area offers comfort and control during use. For dust management, the detail sander has a detachable dust port for use with a vacuum hose. The on/off switch also is dust sealed for durability. Bare Tool This Porter-Cable cordless tool does not come with a battery or charger. It's compatible with Porter-Cable's 18-volt battery system, which includes both lithium-ion and NiCad options. Warranty This Porter-Cable tool is backed by three-year limited warranty covering any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship (from the date of purchase). It's also covered by Porter-Cable's one-year free service contract, where Porter-Cable will maintain the tool and replace worn parts caused by normal use--for free.
